Memorial services will be 12:00 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2006 at St. Benedict’s Senior Community Chapel in St. Cloud for Marian F. Bucher, age 96, of St. Cloud, who died Thursday at St. Benedict’s Senior Community in St. Cloud. Rev. Meinrad Dindorf will officiate and burial will be at Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud. Friends may call one hour prior to the services Monday at St. Benedict’s Senior Community Chapel. Arrangements were made by Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids. Marian was born May 20, 1909 in Belfield, ND to Franz & Magdalena (Martain) Frank. She married Charles Howard on Aug. 25, 1933 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Valley City, ND. Charles died on Oct. 18, 1947. Marian married George Bucher on Feb. 20, 1968 at Nativity Catholic Church in St. Paul. George died Feb. 18, 1978. Marian lived in Belfield, ND for 18 years, Valley City, ND for 33 years, St. Paul for 2 years, Bisbee, ND for 10 years, and St. Cloud for the past 21 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral in St. Cloud, Christian Mothers, Legion of Mary, and Crosier Apostolate. Survivors include her sons and daughter, Jerald (Julianna) Howard of St. Cloud, Ronald (Ruth Ann) Howard of Virginia Beach, VA, and Mary Gray of San Francisco, CA; brother and sisters, Nick Reis, Catherine Klein, and Eleanor Ott all of Belfield, ND, and Leona Obregewich of Medina, ND; ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Marian was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Charles Howard and George Bucher; stepfather, Peter Reis; brother, Tom Reis; sisters, Elizabeth Frank and Anna Hecker; step brothers, Louie, Frank, Toney, and Harry Reis; step sisters, Flora Carey, Minnie Reis, Rose Hansen, and Emma Hecker,.
